Below is a summary of key events, workshops or activities I have organised or substantially contributed to, primarily in my capacity as the peacemaking and peacebuilding program lead at the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA).
In this capacity, I was responsible for planning yearly activities, drafting funding proposals, conducting and publishing research on relevant thematic areas, and designing content for tailored trainings and convening workshops, often in partnership with relevant stakeholders, including the United Nations and African Union.
2nd African Union Workshop on the Review of the AU Policy on Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Development, hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department of African Organizations and Communities) and CCCPA, in cooperation with the African Union Commission (Department of Political Affairs, Peace and Security) and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). Moderated portions of the closed expert-level meeting on the policy's pillars, and was one of two rapporteurs collecting key discussion points and comments and integrating them into a revised draft of the policy. Workshop Outcomes

Second Edition with a focus on the Red Sea and Horn of Africa, and an embedded workshop on mainstreaming gender in the design and implementation of PCRD efforts, in partnership with the African Union Commission (AUC) and the African Union Centre for Post-conflict Reconstruction and Development (AU Centre for PCRD), October 2023. Delivered several sessions to African and Eurasian diplomats, as well as junior diplomats in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affaris, in partnership with the Institute of Diplomatic Studies.
Designed a Joint Training Program on "Strengthening Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding in the Arab World", aimed for the professional development of mid-career professionals from national governments, peace operations, regional organizations, NGOs, and CSOs.
The program has not yet been launched due to external and financial constraints, but it entailed elements on conflict resolution and its guiding frameworks, fundamentals of negotiation and mediation, building a core understanding of peacemaking and peacebuilding, and cases, applications, and simulation activities.
